Fueled by Lust: Caelius by Celeste Prater [Blog Tour & Giveaway]

Fueled by Lust: Caelius
by Celeste Prater

Caelius Meron strips at Heat Seekers Male Revue just so he can find his mate. So imagine his shock when he finds her in a cooking class he was forced to attend. So what’s the problem? There’s twenty-two of them according to Rhia Brennan. Undaunted by her claim that he’s too young, Caelius battles every roadblock she places. But what if one may be too difficult to ignore?

Kallon Aceso knows exactly who should own his heart, but Ulixes Dionysus doesn’t appear to want it. But is it really something else buried so deep that it may keep them apart forever?

Travel with these two Insedi as they both chase their hearts desire, only to be thwarted by misconceptions and mistakes from the past. Can they scale these insurmountable walls, or will they have to walk away and forever mourn what they could never have?

Book 5 in the Fueled By Lust Series brings back the sexy males that make your legs tremble just by saying your name.

The heavily accented voice coming through the phone oozed sexy, virile man and sent chills skittering across her skin.

“I have a confession, my bellula.”

Rhia wasn’t even surprised at the shot of tingles traveling her skin and making a direct beeline to her clit. He’d whispered that word across her skin before. She tried to steady her breath.

“Okay, so confess.” Umm, he was growling now. That shit just did crazy things to her girly parts. She was toast. Fine hairs rose across her skin, as if tuning in to that sensuous sound.

“I find it very arousing that you think of me in that way. Even when I’m at my worst, you view me in a positive light. I wish you were here with me right now. Do you miss my touch, Rhia?”

She could barely get her words past a soft whisper. “Yes. Very much.”

Rhia heard the distinctive rustle of material again and pictured him shifting on the bed. She imagined him sliding a broad hand down his chest, across the ridges of his abs, and resting just above his groin. She grabbed a pillow and released a moan deep into the fabric.

“Are you in your bed, Rhia?”

“Will you do something for me?”

“Of course. Yes.”

“Turn the TV off and lower the lights.”

“It’s off and only the bathroom light’s on. It’s dim in here.”

“Good. Tell me what you’re wearing.”
The words spewed out of her mouth. She wanted to get to the next part as quickly as possible. “Button down blouse and shorts.”

“Are you wearing a thong?”

Her breath hitched.

“Yes. What are you wearing, Caelius?” A low rumble sounded against her ear.

“Nothing. Absolutely nothing. There’s a thin sheet resting across my hips. Does that turn you on, Rhia?”

Topic: The author’s inspiration for her books and/or characters

There are three things that inspire me to continue writing the Fueled By Lust book series and its cast of wonderful alien alpha males.

One is the vivid dreams I’ve had that introduced me to the Insedi warriors and their plight. Once I had the basic idea of why alien hunks that formed out of pure energy, looked human, and could speak ancient Latin were doing on Earth, the story just erupted after that. I’m inspired by allowing myself to do ‘free style, write whatever the heck falls out of my head’ outlines to get the next story and then it basically writes itself as soon as I hit the first dialog. I get stuck if I try to force a character to do something that wasn’t in my original perception. If I just ‘go with the flow’, it eventually works itself out.

Second, is the outstanding response from the readers. I have a following that covers many countries as well as the US. It still amazes me. Many send me comments about the next character they want to have their story told, their excitement at a notice that an installment is releasing, or just to let me know that I need to hurry up and get Ulixes and Kallon together. It warms my heart to know that so many have embraced the lives of these outstanding guys. I love them, and now others do as well. Of course, not all readers get into the stories (and that’s okay), some finding their awkwardness humorous (in a bad way), or think I need to put more SciFi in and less romance. Everyone has different needs. The poor guys were basically forced to come to this particular planet, had to quickly learn formal English language, and have no idea how to use an ATM machine. They had to work themselves through the crazy path of our slang language, contractions, and antiquated technology. They’re very alpha and driven by the demands of the mating necklace that clues them to a potential mate. They can appear a little barbaric at times, but they work themselves through it. I definitely recommend that the series be read in sequence to fully understand their progression and the growing overall plot.

The third is my cover models. I have no idea who Drusus (Book 1) is, and that bothers me to this day. Since then, I’ve found ‘real’ men to portray these fantastic warriors. I choose my models based on their personality and their enthusiasm to partner with me on the covers. This opportunity might be that one little step that can launch them to other chances, or add to already outstanding paths. That’s definitely an inspiration for me. Each one of these guys is what the Insedi term as ‘worthy males.’ I’d like to give a little shout out to each of my buddies and so that the readers can learn more about the inspiration for my covers.

CISCO Perez portrayed Severus. He’s with a male revue club out of Orlando, Florida called Rock Hard Revue. They just recently appeared on America’s Got Talent. Find Cisco on Facebook under Cisco Male Entertainer.

DEVON Sutton is from Cleveland, Ohio and did a great job as Cato with that awesome tat. His male revue club is IronMen The Show. Find him on twitter under @devonsutton75.

The awesome Richard Jimenez, producer for Magnificent 7 Male Revue out of Los Angeles, California introduced me to Lucien’s model and a Magnificent 7 entertainer, the very sexy and intelligent AXEL. You can find them at

VALENTINO is an independent male entertainer and is the hunk you see on Caelius’s cover. All that hair is real ladies! You can find him on Facebook under ValentinoMx.

JASON Spears is with a nutritional company out of Texas and will be the model for Maxim’s book. He’ll knock you out with his smile. He’s in the process of getting his social media sites set up, but you can start on Instagram @jray1213.

Thanks again for having me here today. Big kiss to my fans! Love you guys!

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

I was born and raised in a small town between Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin. Wanting to see more than my small Texas town, I joined the Marines, which satisfied my craving to see more of the U.S. and my drive to see if I could be one of the few and the proud.

A firm believer in educating the mind, I have achieved several advanced degrees, the latest being a master’s of science.

My true love is writing erotic romance, especially about alien hunks that know how to treat their females.

Drusus, Severus, Cato, Lucien, Caelius, Maxim and many more have swirled in my dreams until I had to bring them to life and allow them to find love within the pages of the Fueled by Lust book series.

Book 1 DRUSUS was nominated as Top 5 Finalist and placed 3rd in the 2014 RWA Passionate Ink’s 9th Annual Passionate Plume Book Contest in Erotic SciFi/Fantasy Category, Book 2 SEVERUS achieved BEST BOOK review rating and won April 2014 BOOK OF THE MONTH Reader Poll at LONG AND SHORT REVIEWS, Book 3 CATO won the May/June 2014 BOOK OF THE MONTH Reader Poll at LONG AND SHORT REVIEWS. 1. Hi Again Celeste!

One thing I always wondered about romance and erotic do you react when your family reads your books...and how to THEY react? I know my grandma always wants to read my stories...but I would hesitate to give her anything to risque!!

    1. Hey, Andra! Good question. I'm lucky in the fact that my immediate family and friends know me so well. I'm not shy and never embarrassed to speak my mind so they weren't surprised at all that I write erotic romance. All are very supportive and excited for me. I've told them that if they are shy about reading something so explicit to just jump over those spots and they'd still get a great story to follow. They were pleasantly surprised to find out that I've wrapped the story around the scenes to where it's not porn or smut, but much heartfelt love between the characters. It makes sense that the scene was included. Some have even told me that it's helped to instigate a good time with their spouses or significant other. Thanks for the question! :-)

  2. What a sexy excerpt. I had fun reading it.
