About Me

I am a mother of two teenagers. A 19yr old son, Marc and a 15yr old daughter, Sirina. I was a military wife for 10 years. I've lived in California all my life up until a year ago. I moved to TN and I am loving it! About 8yrs ago I was diagnosed with Lupus and given 6 months to live. However, I had two very good reasons not to let that happen.

Reading Journey

As a child I read Judy Bloom, Little Woman, and of course Nancy Drew. In my teen years I would write stories, but without direction and someone to encourage me I lost interest. That was until the Kindle Fire came out. Once that happened I grabbed my first e-reader and started filling it up with books I loved and others I had always wanted to read. Now my e-reader is never very far from me.

Blogging

In my quest to obtain more books! I discovered Net Galley. I can proudly say that I am on the pre-approved readers list for 47North. I just love grabbing their books! I am hoping to be become pre-approved with other publishing houses and having a blog and facebook page helps. Net Galley suggests it and so I made one. I have met so many wonderful people. I am just love being part of this community.

Author Events

I went to my first author event last month. I  attended TVAE. I had so much fun and can't wait to go to my next event. Next week is my next event. I will be attending The Occasionalist in Atlanta. I am so excited and can't wait to meet even more book friends! I have recently starting making plans to attend Queen City in October. This is so much and all because of my love of reading!
